Personal health budget

I honestly cant thank you enough! Reading the website gave us the knowledge that our late mother, who, after following an NHS blunder, suffered a severe stroke and was left with severe brain damage and unable to speak – she was actually refused CHC! This website gave us the confidence to appeal their decision and the knowledge to work through each decision tool, and give solid reasons how she met the criteria. We even questioned how many assessments one of the decision makers had done (which turned out to be just one, a few years ago!) Once they knew we “knew our stuff” , they upheld our appeal, awarded CHC to Mum and the family home that had been owned by our parents for 60 years was saved from being swallowed up in nursing home fees. We would never have done this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The CHC application process is horrendous and stressful, I really feel this is the way to take the stress away and have an honest advocate that knows what they are talking about help you every step of the way for a service that I thought was very well priced.

Just going through the process for CHC for my mother in law, its been a no twice, came to this site which has given me hope, inspiration and ideas how to do and say things. We are going all the way. We cannot let this happen to our elderly, we must fight for their NHS.
