If you’re going into care or receiving care at home, who will help you manage your affairs?

If you have a relative needing care, will you be able to make decisions about their money and their welfare?

If you need care – or you believe you might need care at some point – one of the most important things you can do right now is to set up a Lasting Power of Attorney. Having a power of attorney makes no difference to your life while you’re still capable of managing things yourself, but it’s a vital safeguard should you become unable to do so. If you have a relative needing care, and they don’t yet have a power of attorney, talk to them now about setting one up – before they lose the capacity to do so.
